Plavix (also known as clopidogrel) is an anti-platelet agent prescribed to
prevent heart attacks and strokes in persons with heart disease, recent
stroke, or peripheral vascular disease. It prevents heart attacks and strokes
by inhibiting platelet, a type of blood cells, from being activated and form
blood clots that block blood flow in vessels.

Plavix is an oral medication usually to be taken once a day.  They come as
75 mg tablets.

Notify your doctor immediately if these are any signs of serious bleeding or
unusual bruising while you are taking this drug.
